5 Book Series I Want to Reread

I spend a lot of time thinking about new releases, but I think a lot about the books of my past as well.

Today's post is all about book series that I read in the past that I wouldn't mind reading again, even though I finished the series quite a long time ago.

1. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

I have a confession. I never actually finished reading the last Harry Potter book. Haha. I remember starting it but for some reason I never finished it. And it's been so many years since I've last read the rest of the series that there's no way I would be able to jump back into it right now.

The only solution is to go back to the beginning and start from Book 1. I actually wouldn't mind that because I love the first few books, where Harry is younger and first learning about how to use his magic. My favorite of all the book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because I love the Tri Wizard Tournament. How about you?

2. The Alice Series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

The HOLD that these books had on my growing up. I loved the Alice series and it's so near and dear to my heart. If you've never heard of this series, it's about a young girl named Alice McKinley and follows her through her everyday life. It starts when she's young (like, elementary school) and the last book in the series covers her adult which is so cool because how often do you get to follow your favorite characters for like, most of their life?

I would love to restart this series, either buy checking out the early books from the library or buying them on Kindle. Alice is one of my favorite characters and she taught me a lot about growing up.

3. The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot

Another one of my favorite book series from when I was growing up. I related a lot to Mia Thermopolis because I too was awkward and felt like I was never going to be "self actualized" one day. Lol. Plus the different things that happened in the different books were so funny. I loved the main characters like Lilly and Tina and Michael and everyone in the Gifted & Talented class. Mia's family of course made me laugh. These books were an escape and so I bought book 1 last year (my copy from my own teenage years was tossed because it was VERY worn out) and I plan to recollect this series so that if I have a daughter someday, I have all of the books to pass on to her.

4. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

My first experience with this series was when I watched the To All The Boys I've Loved Before movie on Netflix and fell in love with Lara Jean and Peter. Then I purchased the books on Audible and listened through 1, 2, and 3 very quickly.

However enjoyable audiobooks are, sometimes I feel like I miss stuff. So I would love to reread this series as actual books and not just as audiobooks.

5. Twilight by Stephanie Meyers

I know what you're thinking. Lol. But I read this series so, so long ago and I'm curious of what my thoughts would be if I read it today. I remember really admiring Bella (haha I know!) and wanting to be like her (oh God, I really should not be admitting this).

I have a feeling this series would leave me annoyed and frustrated, but how do I know unless I give it another shot?

Do you have any book series that you want to reread? I feel like when you read something and give it a few years to sink in, your feelings could be completely different reading it at a different time. Special shout out goes to the Hunger Games. I think that's another series that I'd like to check out again soon.

Let me know in the comments what your answer is!
