Camp NaNoWriMo - July 2021 (Goals)

It's been a while since I've participated in a NaNoWriMo event and it's been even longer since I've actually won one. But I used to get so much writing done during those events and I miss it.

I'll be honest, I've barely written any NEW words this year. Fiction words, anyway. I'm always writing blog posts and essays and journal entries and whatnot. But when it comes to my fiction writing, I've been mainly editing this year.

Which is good. I have two projects that I am planning on self publishing this year and I feel like I'm finally getting organized on that end.

But now, it's time to write.

So here are my goals for Camp NaNoWriMo (July 2021). If you're planning on participating, let me know in the comments what your plans are.

  1. My goal is to write 30,000 words this month.
  2. I want to finish writing the first draft of Cleaning Him Up (Mayfield Manor Book 2)
That's only 1,000 words a day so I'm thinking that this challenge will be a good way to get me back into the writing habit without overwhelming me.

Good luck to everyone who is starting their writing journey tomorrow!

My plan for today is to finish organizing/plotting Cleaning Him Up, and then I have a couple of other creative tasks for yesterday and Monday that I need to finish up. I like to set my bullet journal up in a way that if I don't finish my tasks that day, it's all good. Just add them on to the next day.

Until next time,
Marian
