Goals for 2021

Hello friends! It's been a while since I wrote anything on my blog and for that, I am sorry. It's just been a wild few weeks. I'm glad to have made it through the holidays in once piece. I've been worried about the fact that everyone has been traveling for the holidays and that the coronavirus might spread further.

It's hard, but I have to keep reminding myself that the only person I am in charge of is me. I can only control myself. Plus I'm lucky enough to get to work from home most days so I don't have to go out too much.

Ever since the clock struck midnight on January 1st, I've been spending a good bit of time thinking about what I would like to accomplish this year.

In this post I'm going to break it down for you and be completely honest about what I want to get done in 2021. Some of these goals are personal, but I'm going to put it all out there in the hopes that by blogging about it, I will stay motivated.

1. Read 75 Books

I've really been making the effort to spend more time reading and last year I made a big improvement. I read 54 books and surpassed my goal for the goodreads reading challenge. This year I'm challenging myself to read to 75 books. It's definitely going to be a bit tough but I'm determined because I have a lot of books I'm excited to check out.

2. Pay off my debt

I'm going to write a blog post about my debt and how I accrued it but as of right now, I have paid of my student loans. My main problem is credit card debt. But more on that later!

3. Save enough money for Iceland trip

My boyfriend and I are supposed to head to Iceland in July with a bunch of his cycling buddies. They are going to ride in a race there and all the wives/girlfriends are coming along. I need to save money for my share of our hotel room, airline tickets, and spending money. Back in September I got my passport and paid for all of that so luckily the passport portion is taken care of already.

4. Make money through my side hustles

I have quite a few side hustles but I make very little money from them. Which is fine, because I'm just starting out. But 2021 is going to be the year that I really focus and start bringing in some extra money each month to help me pay off my credit cards.

5. Figure out what I want to do with my life

I turn twenty nine this month which means I'm one year away from thirty. Eek! I'm happy with my life but I can't help but think that there might be more out there, career wise. I don't know. I have some researching and some deep thinking to do this year.

What are your goals for this year? Let me know what you're hoping to accomplish this year.
